Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Sensor Selection and Management

  1. Selecting Sensors for Streaming

    1. After successful Pairing (See Activating & Pairing Sensors), sensors can be selected or deselected for streaming by selecting the sensor in the Connected Sensors window.

    2. Use the System Capacity Visual to monitor the number of transmission slots being used

  1. Renaming Sensors

    1. Sensors can be renamed directly in the Connected Sensors window by clicking in the Sensor Name.

    2. If a previously paired sensor is re-added and shows an existing name:

      1. Highlight the sensor name.

      2. Press Delete to revert to the default name.

Step 2: Changing Sensor Configuration

  1. Selecting Sensor Modes

    1. Choose from pre-defined sensor modes via the dropdown menu.

    2. For adjusting sampling and collection modes, click the Settings Icon.

  1. Adjusting Sampling & Collection Modes

    1. Modify sampling frequency, bandwidth, and collection mode by using the drop-down.

    2. Use “Autocomplete Fields” to auto-fill compatible frequencies.

    3. To start fresh, click “Clear Selection.”

  1. Advanced Settings

    1. Under “Advanced Configuration”, adjust:

      1. EMG range

      2. IMU range parameters

  2. Apply Configurations

    1. Use the checkbox “Apply to All Avanti” to push settings to all similar sensors.

    2. Click “Apply and Close” to save changes.

  3. Calibration

    1. Click the “Calibrate” button to access calibration options (See the Trigno Discover: MVC Calibration article).

Step 3: Trial Settings

  1. Naming and File Management

    1. Trials can be renamed under Trial Settings.

    2. Enable the checkbox to auto-increment file names after each recording.

  2. Organizing with Tags and Comments

    1. Use Tags for organizing files by project, subject, etc.

      1. Type in the name of the tag and click “Create Tag”.

      2. There is an option to make the tag a Project, Subject, or Other via the drop-down menu.

    2. Add notes in the Comments section (e.g., methodology, conditions).

  3. Channel Selection

    1. Select/deselect channels in the Configuration panel.

    2. Rename EMG Channels, especially for multi-headed sensors.

Important

  • Only selected channels will be collected and exported.

  • Deselected channels will not be saved.

Step 4: Timed Collection and Delayed Start

  1. Timed Collection

    1. Under Other Settings, there is the option to set a collection duration (seconds, minutes, hours).

  2. Delayed Stream Start

    1. The option exists to configure a delay time in seconds after starting a collection before data streaming begins.

Step 5: Analog Inputs Configuration (Trigno Centro Only)

  1. Configuring Analog & Microphone Inputs
